IOTA DLS-27-15-X 24 Volt 15 Amp DC Converter/Battery Charger
The DLS-27-15-X Power Converter/Battery Charger from IOTA Engineering converts nominal 108-132 AC voltage to 26.8-29.6 DC voltage for both DC load operation and 24 Volt battery charging.
As a power supply, the unit's tightly controlled regulation allows the user to operate a nominal 24VDC load up to 15 amps, and will charge batteries, though not as fast or efficiently as when equipped with the IQ4-X charge control module.
As a battery charger equipped with the plug-in IQ4-x charge control module, the unit will maintain the battery, delivering its full-rated current when the battery capacity falls sufficiently low. The voltage is set to deliver its maximum current for the necessary period of time to minimize undue stress to the battery caused by heating of its cells. This helps to ensure the longest possible life of the battery. Over time, as the battery nears its full capacity, the DLS-27-15-X will automatically drop the current, providing a float-charge to the battery to prevent self-discharge of the cells.

The IOTA Engineering DLS-X converters are available with a plug-in microprocessor controller (the IQ4-X), which turns them into a 4 stage battery charger, with an appropriate bulk voltage (higher than the regular converter voltage), absorption voltage, and float voltage. These units are a little different than the traditional DLS models, with lower profile, designed for more harsh environments, and have a 3 year warranty.
