Military and heavy equipment applications may use DC converters in a 24 volt DC system to provide a regulated, stable DC voltage source for 12 volt DC electronic devices such as radios, computers, data loggers, sound equipment, lights, etc. Marine systems in 24 volts can use DC converters for sonar, radar, instrumentation, computers, stereos, etc. Buses and heavy trucks with 24 volt systems are also appropriate uses for converters.
