NOTE FOR EAGLE 48 VOLT CLUB CAR UNITS:
The 1995 and later 48 volt Club Car™ cart has an onboard computer/regulator that turns the Club Car™ charger on and off. Basically, they separated the 'smart' controller of the charger from the bulk of the charger, and put one part on the cart, and the other in the charger box, possibly to make people buy their chargers when the time comes. Anyway, to use the Eagle model chargers, the simplest solution is to install a bypass wire on the cart, which allows the external charger to use its own microprocessor control, which in this case, we believe to be superior. We will forward two pdf files that deal with this, if you are interested, as it is not difficult. There should be sheets in the charger box as well. Basically, you jump with a 12 gauge wire from the big negative (black) terminal on the back of the plug receptacle on the cart (or just splice into that wire) to the end negative battery terminal of the battery pack, where the total pack voltage (negative) goes to the cart motor and controller. This bypasses the onboard cart charger regulation.

Trouble Free 36 Volt and 48 Volt Club Car Models

We carry two charger lines as the basis of our golf cart chargers. The Dual Pro Eagle series chargers are US built, quality industrial grade 36 and 48 volt battery chargers, for a most reasonable price. You won't find better for less. The Eagle series are heavy duty, microprocessor controlled, thermally protected battery chargers, with fan cooling and temperature compensation, encased in a powder coated aluminum case. They can be portable or bench top chargers, with a padded handle. The Club Car models here are for 36 volt carts using the crowsfoot connector, and 48 volt carts with the round 3 pin Club Car connector. There are two amp ranges for moderate and heavy use carts. Moderate would be running down to the mailbox, or out to the barn, etc. Heavy use would be 18 holes of golf, or running around a warehouse all day, etc. Other cart chargers can be found from the main golf cart charger page.

The Dual Pro Eagle series combine the reliability of a heavy duty transformer, with a microprocessor controller, for long term performance and proper battery management. With temperature compensation and computer control, a quicker, more efficient charge cycle results in complete battery charge, better battery life, and less water loss in flooded batteries. They are safe for the sealed lead acid batteries as well. This golf cart charger, goes into a float mode when the charge is complete, for long term battery maintenance. The LED array on the charger case indicates status of the battery.

In Japlar Schauer, we have a 36 volt 20 amp with a Crowsfoot connector, for earlier 36 volt Club Car applications, and a 48 volt 15 amp with the round 3 pin Club Car connector for 1995 and later 48 volt models. These would be for medium use applications. These are quality units, built in Taiwan, with a 2 year warranty. They are 3 stage, microprocessor controlled, fan cooled.
