Schauer JAC0524 24 Volt 5 Amp Battery Charger

The Schauer JAC0524 is ideal for bulk charging 24 volt batteries (AGM or wet) up to about 50 amp hour (ah), or as a floating charger (long term maintenance) for 24 volt battery systems 100 ah or more. This is a durable, aluminum cased unit. Typical applications include mobility (wheelchair/scooter), etc., and mobile carts using a 24 volt battery system for monitoring or computer/printer use. The JAC0524 is excellent for use on deep cycle batteries, and 24 volt systems with a constant or intermittant current drain (power supply type situation). Use as a float charger for larger battery packs (up to 8D size) during periods without use is also appropriate.

Schauer Battery Chargers

Schauer battery chargers are microprocessor controlled, fully automatic electronic devices, which use switch-mode technology to change AC input voltage to DC output voltage at much faster rates than traditional ferroresonant type chargers, which allows for a much smaller transformer, and therefore less size and weight, and increased efficiency. Schauer switch-mode chargers also will function as a power supply with a battery in the system. Proper maintenance of lead acid batteries keeps them healthy, and increases their life expectancy.
