The Samlex SEC-1245A charger is ideal for bulk charging 12 volt batteries (AGM, Gel, or wet) of 150 amp hour (ah) or more, or as a floating charger (long term maintenance) for batteries 100 ah or more. This unit has proportional fan cooling, mute selection for silencing the fan, and temperature compensation. Typical applications include automotive, marine, RV, communications, military, robotics, etc. These are industrial quality, reliable units, and used in quantity in commercial and military applications.

Samlex Battery Chargers

Samlex battery chargers are microprocessor controlled, fully automatic electronic devices, which use switch-mode technology to change AC input voltage to DC output voltage at much faster rates than traditional ferroresonant type chargers, which allows for a much smaller transformer, less size and weight, and increased efficiency. Samlex switch-mode chargers also will function as a power supply with a battery in the system, and the proper dip switch setting. Most units are switch selectable for AC input voltage, battery type (wet, AGM, Gel), and power supply operation (battery with load). The 'battery with load' setting deactivates the boost mode, so the charger can function as a power supply without entering the elevated voltage level, which can damage a battery if applied for long periods. Proper maintenance of lead acid batteries keeps them healthy, and maximizes their life expectancy.
